San Jose Giants Gigante Trick-or-Treat Contest
San Jose, CA- The San Jose Giants announced today their 2015 Gigante Trick-or-Treat Contest. On October 31, one lucky child will get the chance to walk their neighborhood with the San Jose Giants mascot. The winner will be selected through the organization's social media pages and through submissions sent to [email protected] (Like the San Jose Giants on Facebook, follow @SJGiants on Twitter and Instagram).
"If your little slugger or fairy princess is a Giants fan, this is the Halloween contest for you," said Juliana Paoli, San Jose Giants Chief Marketing Officer. "This is your child's chance to experience trick-or-treating like never before and be the talk of the neighborhood when Gigante joins him or her for some Halloween fun."
Kids ages 4 through 12 are invited to enter the contest. Fans wishing to enter on the San Jose Giants social media pages or by emailing [email protected] should submit either a picture of their San Jose Giants themed pumpkin carving or a picture in their Halloween costume alongside their favorite San Jose Giants gear. Themed pumpkin carving stencils can be found on sjgiants.com or by clicking here and include San Jose Giants logos as well as a picture of Gigante. On Facebook, fans should post their photos to the San Jose Giants wall and be sure to tag @SJGiants when sharing on Twitter and Instagram. The organization will create a photo album of select artistic submissions, so fans are encouraged to be creative. All fans submitting photos give the San Jose Giants permission to use their photo for promotional purposes and should understand that the photo will not be returned. Deadline for entry is Tuesday, October 27.
Once the winner has been selected, he or she will be contacted no later than Thursday, October 29 and will have the opportunity to go trick-or-treating with Gigante on Halloween for a one hour window between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM.
