Adam Duvall Wins Class A Joe Bauman Award
"It is an honor for me to be recognized for hitting the most home runs in all of Class A", said Duvall. "I take pride in helping my team win any way I can. I want to thank my teammates and coaching staff for helping put me in a position to win this award."
Selected in the 11th round of the 2010 draft by the San Francisco Giants, Duvall enjoyed one of the finest regular seasons in the history of the San Jose Giants as he was named to the 2012 California League Postseason All-Star Team. He not only led the league in home runs, but also finished second in runs scored (101) and third in RBI (100). On August 17, he broke San Jose's single-season home run record with his 27th long ball of the year.
The San Jose Giants continue their march towards a 12th California League Championship tonight against the Modesto Nuts. The Giants defeated the Nuts 3-1 in Game 1 of their best-of-three Mini-Series last night at Municipal Stadium. Tonight's Game 2 and, if necessary, tomorrow's Game 3 will take place in Modesto.
