Comcast Hometown Network to Air 20 San Jose Giants Games in 2014
San Jose, CA- The San Jose Giants and Comcast have once again partnered to bring fans a schedule of 20 LIVE television broadcasts during the 2014 season. The games can be viewed live on Comcast Hometown Network (Digital Channel 104) throughout most Northern California regions. The broadcast schedule begins with the home opener, Thursday, April 10, against the Bakersfield Blaze at 7:00 PM.
"The San Jose Giants are thrilled to continue our partnership with Comcast Hometown Network for our sixth consecutive season," said Juliana Paoli, San Jose Giants Chief Marketing Officer. "We are excited that so many fans will be able to continue to enjoy the fun and excitement of San Jose Giants baseball as each broadcast will reach over two million homes in Northern California."
After the live broadcast of each contest, all 20 games will be available for cable customers to view through Comcast On Demand Channel 1. All San Jose Giants television broadcasts will feature the play-by-play "Voice of the San Jose Giants," Joe Ritzo and the color commentary of Joe Castellano. Ritzo has been calling San Jose Giants games since 2003 while Castellano, a 20 year veteran of the industry, has broadcasted a variety of sports for networks such as NBC, MLB Network and Comcast.

Highlights of the schedule include San Jose's home opener, matchups against the 2013 California League Champion Inland Empire 66ers as well as special Independence Day telecasts on July 4 and July 5 against the rival Stockton Ports. In total, fans will have the opportunity to watch 17 matchups this season against San Jose Giants' North Division opponents. In addition to the game broadcast, Comcast Hometown Network will provide pregame and postgame coverage of all games.

The LIVE games will be replayed several times on Comcast Hometown Network (Channel 104). To view California League baseball games ON DEMAND, Comcast Digital Cable customers can tune to Channel 1 on their Digital Cable lineup or press the ON DEMAND button on their remote control, then click on the "Get Local" section, then click on "Comcast Hometown Network."
First pitch for the San Jose Giants home opener will take place at 7:00 PM on Thursday, April 10 against the Bakersfield Blaze. San Jose's 2014 season begins on Thursday, April 3.
