SALEM, VA - The Delmarva Shorebirds saw an early 2-0 lead slip away before busting open for a seven-run fifth inning to claim an emphatic 13-4 win over the Salem Red Sox on Friday night at Salem Memorial Ballpark.

The 13 runs against the Red Sox (70-48) pushed the total runs for the Shorebirds this season (67-51) to 706, surpassing the record 700 scored by the 2000 ballclub.
