In partnership with Major League Baseball (MLB), Minor League Baseball (MiLB) has announced Delmarva Shorebirds Clubhouse Manager Mason Gomez as the 2025 Carolina League Home Clubhouse Manager of the Year.
This prestigious award is selected based on nominations from individuals around the industry, including field managers and staff members who work closely with clubhouse personnel throughout the season. Gomez is the first Shorebirds Clubhouse Manager to win this award ranking amongst the best in the Carolina League (12 Organizations) this year.
"Mason is constantly one of the first people here and last to leave showing dedication, commitment, and passion to the Shorebirds and Orioles players, staff, and personell each day," said Shorebirds General Manager Chris Bitters. “Mason is one of the best at his craft and please join us in congratulating him on this well deserved honor."
Gomez who has been a valued member of the Baltimore Orioles organization for over four years coming to the Shorebirds at the beginning of the 2024 season. Throughout his tenure with the Delmarva Shorebirds, Gomez has consistently gone above and beyond the expectations in his duties as a clubhouse attendant. Gomez's main responsibility is to ensure that players and staff have everything they need on and off the field, while helping provide structure to each day for the team.
