FRISCO, Texas (July 31, 2026) - On Friday at Riders Field, the Frisco RoughRiders fell for the second straight night to the Corpus Christi Hooks, coming up short 3-2.
Frisco (17-14, 56-43) jumped in front in the first inning with a Frainyer Chavez leadoff single and then a two-run home run from Dylan Dreiling off of Nolan DeVos (3-0)
In the second, Corpus Christi (16-15, 47-53) got a run back with a Cameron Sisneros sacrifice fly against Aidan Curry (3-2).
In the sixth, the Hooks took their first lead with two hits and two errors made in the field by the RoughRiders.
Frisco got the tying run on base in the eighth inning, but Alex Santos II escaped trouble and earned his third save of the season.
Notes to Know:
Dreiling has now hit three home runs in the first four games of the series and finished with six in the month of July.
Bryan Magdaleno and Cole Stasio combined for eight strikeouts out of the Riders’ bullpen.
On Saturday night, Frisco seeks revenge with LHP Dalton Pence (2-2, 2.77) slated to pitch against RHP Bryce Mayer in a 7:05 p.m. start at Riders Field.
