SUMMARY

The Senators fell to Altoona in walk-off fashion 4-3 in Altoona Friday night. Mason Martin hit a two-out, two-strike, two-run home run for Altoona to beat the Senators. Harrisburg had rallied from an early 2-0 deficit to take the lead with two runs in the eighth inning but couldn’t hold the lead in the loss.

ON CAPITAL HILL

Mario Sanchez started and worked the first six innings allowing two runs on two hits. His only walk came in the second inning with two outs and was followed by a two-run home run.

Matt Cronin followed going an inning, striking out two and walking one.

Frankie Bartow came in with a runner at first and no outs in the eighth. He struck out the first batter he faced then induced a twin killing. He allowed a one-out single in the ninth but looked to have the game wrapped up when Martin hit the two-strike game ending home run.

WITH THE GAVEL

Cole Freeman singled in the first to extend his hitting streak to ten games.

Jecksson Flores had two hits and scored twice.

Carlos Tocci had two hits in the game.

Ali Castillo drove in the tying run with a squeeze bunt in the eighth inning.

FILIBUSTERS

The Senators went 0-for-6 with runners in Saturday night, stranding three runners in scoring position with two outs. Harrisburg bounced into two more double plays to bring the total to seven that they’ve hit into in the series. The walk off loss was the second time they’ve been walked off. The blown save by Frankie Bartow was his first this season.
