The Harrisburg Senators used the long ball and timely hitting to beat the Somerset Patriots 7-4 Tuesday night at FNB Field. Aldrem Corredor homered and drove in three runs to pace the Sens lineup. Somerset tied the game at 4 in the fifth, but the Senators responded with two in the fifth and one more in the seventh.

ON CAPITAL HILL

Luis Reyes started and earned the win going five innings. At one point he struck out five straight hitters between the second and third innings. He gave up three runs in the fifth on a pair of home runs.

Jhon Romero pitched two scoreless innings and earned a hold.

Nick Wells went one inning in his return from Rochester and didn’t allow a run.

Frankie Bartow pitched a scoreless ninth inning to earn his eighth save this season.

WITH THE GAVEL

Aldrem Corredor drove in three runs with a home run, sac fly and single. He had two hits and scored twice as he continued his torrid June.

KJ Harrison had two more hits after his four-hit game Sunday. He homered and drove in two.

Gilbert Lara went 3-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI in his first AA game.

FILIBUSTERS

The Senators raised their team batting average to a season high .208 with their nine hits. The two teams came into the game with the top two pitching staffs, by ERA, in the league. The Sens worked a perfect relay in the eighth inning from Rhett Wiseman to Corban Joseph to Jakson Reetz to throw out a runner at the plate on a double.
