The International League has been victorious in seven of the past eight Triple-A All-Star Games, including the last four in a row. The IL owns a 12-7 advantage in the nineteen years since the event changed to the current International League vs. Pacific Coast League format. The winning League this season will once again earn the right to have its champion play as the "home team" at the Gildan Triple-A National Championship Game which will take place Tuesday, September 19 at PNC Field in Moosic, Pennsylvania.
Leblebijian wrapped up the first half of his Triple-a rookie campaign with a .276 average, eight home runs and 43 RBI in 83 games with the Bisons. He also leads the team with 25 extra-base hits and 41 runs scored while playing all four positions on the infield. Leblebijian receive more votes than any International League third baseman during the online fan voting period in early June.
