Raising Cane's Kickoff to Baseball starts the season at Riders Field

The 2026 season starts on March 27th with free kickoff event

FRISCO, Texas (February 22, 2026) - Before the Frisco RoughRiders are back home with Opening Day on April 7th, the Riders will host a free event for fans of all ages with Raising Cane's Kickoff to Baseball on March 27th from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Riders Field.

The night will feature your Riders Field-favorites, including:

Catch in the outfield (weather dependent)
Batting practice in the batting cages
Inflatables
Playgrounds and NexCourt open
Mascot Appearances
VIP Tours
Concession samplings with concessions available for purchase
Lazy River will be open (weather dependent)
Riders Outpost Team Store will be open

After the event, the RoughRiders will begin the season on the road against the Corpus Christi Hooks (Astros affiliate) on Thursday, April 2nd before returning home on Tuesday, April 7th for a six-game series with the Midland RockHounds (Athletics affiliate).

About the RoughRiders

The Frisco RoughRiders are the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers and the 2022 Texas League champions. In 2023, the team celebrated its 20th anniversary and has consistently finished in the top five among all Double-A franchises in attendance yearly.
