Jackson Kent Solid in Sens 6-2 Loss to Akron

The Akron RubberDucks used a 14-hit attack to beat the Harrisburg Senators 6-2 Friday night at FNB Field.

Alfonsin Rosario led the way for Akron, going 4-for-5 with two doubles, a triple, two RBIs, and a stolen base. Angel Genao added three hits, and Ralphy Velazquez drove in two runs with a pair of doubles.

Harrisburg tied the game 1-1 in the third on Seaver King’s RBI triple, but Akron steadily pulled away with runs in the fifth, seventh, eighth, and ninth innings. Caleb Lomavita provided a late highlight with a solo homer in the ninth, his second with the Senators.

Jackson Kent (2-3) took the loss despite striking out seven over five innings. The Senators left eight men on base and went 1-for-7 with runners in scoring position.
