HARRISBURG, Pa. (Aug. 25, 2026) — The Senators and Baysox played a tight ballgame Tuesday night, but Chesapeake came out on top with a 2-1 win. The Sens out-hit the Baysox nine to five in the loss and stranded 10 men on base.
LHP Alex Clemmey started on the mound for Harrisburg. After two scoreless innings, Chesapeake took a 1-0 lead in the third on a two-out RBI single from Aron Estrada.
That was the only damage against Clemmey. The left-hander allowed three hits, one walk and struck out six in five innings of work.
The Senators got on the board in the fifth. A one-out walk from Cortland Lawson and a two-out single from Devin Fitz-Gerald had men on first and second. Then Branden Boissiere tied the game with a groundball single through the right side of the infield.
Boissiere went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Fitz-Gerald finished 2-for-4 with a walk.
Harrisburg then left a man in scoring position in three of the next four innings at the plate, unable to score further.
Meanwhile, RHP Holden Powell came on in relief in the sixth and retired the side in order. He struck out one.
Then RHP Kendeglys Virguez (L, 1-1) took over in the seventh. The Baysox' Anderson De Los Santos blasted a solo shot to lead off the inning and put Chesapeake in front 2-1.
De Los Santos has now hit three homers against the Sens this season.
RHP Joe Glassey tossed a one-two-three eighth inning with one strikeout. He's not allowed a run in eight outings with the Senators.
RHP Robert Cranz stranded a single and walk for a scoreless ninth.
Harrisburg has dropped back-to-back games and aims for a return to the win column Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. RHP Jarlin Susana (0-0) is scheduled to make his 2026 Senators debut.
