Senators Come Back to Beat Curve, Take Series Opener 4-3

HARRISBURG, Pa. (Sept. 1, 2026) — The Senators trailed the Curve early Tuesday night but came back to win the series opener 4-3. Two sac flies in the seventh tied the game then took the lead.

Altoona plated two runs in the first off RHP Jarlin Susana on three hits and an error.

Harrisburg got a run back in the bottom of the first. James Wood singled to lead off then advanced to third on Devin Fitz-Gerald's single.

Branden Boissiere drove in Wood on a sac fly to shallow leftfield, and the Sens trailed 2-1.

The Curve added a run in the third on Callan Moss' one-out solo homer to lead 3-1.

Susana went 2.2 innings, allowing three runs, two earned, four hits, no walks and six strikeouts. At one point he struck out five in a row.

Still behind 3-1 in the sixth, Branden Boissiere hit a long solo homer to rightfield to cut the deficit to one run.

In the seventh, Caleb Lomavita singled to lead off the inning. TJ White followed with a double. Cortland Lawson drew a walk to load the bases.

Kevin Made drove in Lomavita with a sac fly to rightfield to tie the game 3-3.

The Curve then intentionally walked James Wood to load the bases again. Fitz-Gerald hit a fly ball to the fence in rightfield to score White on another sac fly and take a 4-3 lead.

Meanwhile, the Senators bullpen tossed 6.1 scoreless innings to hold the Curve in check.

RHP Holden Powell pitched 2.1 innings, allowing only one hit and striking out two.

RHP Jhancarlos Lara (W, 1-2) added two scoreless frames, working around two walks and a base hit with three strikeouts.

RHP Joe Glassey pitched a one-two-three eighth inning with one strikeout.

In the ninth, RHP Robert Cranz (S, 3) stranded two on base to close the 4-3 win.

Harrisburg looks to win its third straight game Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. RHP Josh Randall (4-5) is slated to start.
