RENO, Nev. – Dylan Ray has been named the Pacific Coast League Pitcher of the Week after a dominant outing against the Tacoma Rainiers this past week at Greater Nevada Field.
The right-hander delivered his best performance in Triple-A, firing six electrifying shutout innings against Tacoma. He allowed just two hits, walked three, and struck out four. The impressive outing lowered his ERA to 6.81, and he now owns 29 strikeouts across 35 2/3 innings in seven appearances with the Aces this season.
Arizona’s No. 20 overall prospect earned his promotion to Triple-A after a stellar start to the season in the Texas League (Double-A). The 24-year-old was untouchable in May with the Sod Poodles, going 5-0 with a 2.03 ERA, 35 strikeouts, and just three walks over 31.0 innings across five starts. He made his Aces debut in early June with a solid outing against the Oklahoma City Baseball Club, allowing three runs with one walk and one strikeout.
